2010 Band Trip

New York: Day 2 (Thursday)

PAGE 2

What a GREAT day today! We're SO close to everything, that we decided to walk rather than take our buses. Good exercise for the gang! The day started with a walk through Central Park, and up to the John Lennon Memorial. It's hard to believe that his death was almost 30 years ago.

From there, we walked down to NBC Studios, with all students having a tour of the sets. A special thrill for some students, who were on the set of "Saturday Night Live", and happened to run in to "Ke$ha", who will be singing on the show this Saturday night. (Ok, I don't even know who Ke$ha is, but according to the kids, she's BIG! They were certainly excited to hear her and the band practicing for the show!

Tonight was Phantom of the Opera. Simply awesome! -A sold out show and a standing ovation well deserved. This was the first musical that many of our students have ever attended, and what a great way to introduce them to Musical theatre.

The students are doing great. We're very proud of them all!
