Welcome

Holiday Concert 2008 Video's (UPDATED)

Welcome to Collingwood Collegiate Institute Music, one of the largest and most diverse music programs in the province of Ontario, offering a wide variety of courses and co-curricular groups. Whether you're a student who is picking up an instrument for the first time in grade nine, or a student with a wealth of previous experience, we have classes specifically designed just for you! For those who would like to sing, we offer vocal music. And for those interested in the computers, synthesisers and music, we offer a state of the art lab and series of courses dedicated to this advanced blend of music and technology.

We're very proud of our students and the dedication they have to a wide range of co-curricular groups. We have 3 full concert bands rehearsing at the beginning, intermediate and senior level. For those who are interested in jazz music, we currently have two jazz ensembles: an intermediate jazz ensemble and a senior jazz ensemble. And for those who enjoy singing, their home is found in the choir.

Our very own full-sized marching band is over 100 strong in its fifth year, and the group looks and sounds great! This year the Marching Band will be in the London Santa Claus Parade on November 15th, the Toronto Santa Claus Parade on November 16th, the Barrie Parade on November 22nd, and the Collingwood Parade on December 7th.

It's going to be a very busy Spring season for all of us at C.C.I. Music. From March 4th to March 7th we'll welcome close to 3000 people in bands from across Southern Ontario, as we play host to the MusicFest Canada Georgian Bay Regional Band Festival.

C.C.I. Music. It's a very busy place full of strong and dedicated students who are a great credit to both their school and community! To each and every one of these students (and of course their very proud parents!), congratulations for all your hard work and dedication to help make this one of the strongest music programs we could ever hope for!

Sincerely,

Kevin Hamlin, Mark Spencer, Nick Clayton, Dennis McAndrew
